Sand Sculpture Field Trip — ENDED
Date/time: March 20, 2008, 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
Location: New Brighton State Beach, Santa Cruz
What: For our first "meet and greet" event, we booked a world-class sand sculpture artist;
He taught us all about the construction of sand castles.
Who: This was for the pre-teen and up crowd; parents were also encouraged to participate!
Note: Younger sibs were welcome to come free as non-participants. It's a big beach; many brought buckets and shovels.
Cost: Each participating family member was $11 ($10 plus $1 for PayPal fee).
There were about 80 people in attendance.

Stay tuned; later I will be planning a follow-up free sand sculpture day for everyone — all ages.
It would be interesting to see what we come up with.
